Sweets from the Shelters is a collection of recipes from the staff and Executive Directors of Kentucky's Domestic Violence Shelters. Connie Little, the Executive Director of the Sandy Valley Abuse Center, said it best, "We often overlook the importance of food as a healing journey and a means of communication much deeper than words. Food, the preparation and sharing has the ability to comfort a broken heart and nourish a battered soul." This cookbook is available for purchase for $15 each.
