Hate crimes are committed against a person because of his/her race, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender or disability.This workshop will focus on hate crime victims who are selected because of their gender or disability. Participants will be provided information about the definition of hate crimes, the types of offenders, and how a community can respond to a hate crime. This workshop will be presented by Eddie Farrey, a Training Instructor at the Department of Criminal Justice Training in Richmond, KY.
